The School Centre for Language and Social Communication was founded in 1983 by a group of experienced language instructors seeking an innovative way to teach Spanish within a cultural context. Through carrying out comparative studies, restructuring existing language programs, and working with language students, they have developed highly intensive Spanish programs based upon solid grammatical principles.
The school offers Spanish language programs specifically tailored to meet the needs of each individual student. The structure of the courses is dependent upon the level of Spanish each student has acquired, and the available time he or she has to study. Spanish courses are offered at a variety of levels, individually or in groups, and are complemented by lectures on a variety of topics concerning Mexico and Latin America.

The instructors bring varying fields of expertise to their teaching, including political science, the fine arts, history, archaeology, and many other disciplines. They also bring to the school their individual talents and interests by designing activities that will enhance your language study, such as excursions to points of cultural and historical interest, and a timely lecture series exploring many different topics.
