The school building of La Janda Spanish language school dates from the middle of the nineteenth century and is constructed on top of the ancient Moorish town walls. Large sections of these walls, which were built in the eleventh century, have been conserved, including the watchtower, which overlooks our garden. The school has two Andalusian interior patios, a garden with orange trees, jasmine and bougainvillaea, a terrace facing south across rolling countryside and an enormous azotea or roof, with views in all directions, from Medina Sidonia in the north to Morocco in the south. All these areas are available for the use of students.

All the Spanish courses and programmes organised at the school are supplemented by extra-curricular activities: films, talks, visits to places of local interest, kite-surfing, cookery classes and sports. Each weekend there is an excursion of one or two days to places further a field to Seville, Cordoba, Morocco, Cadiz, Ronda.
A. General Spanish Intensive
Study Spanish abroad with our intensive language courses in Vejer Spain!. The course takes place all year round and students with some knowledge of Spanish, can start on any Monday. Beginners can start on any of the dates indicated in the price list. This course is made up of 20 + 3 classes of 50 minutes plus additional cultural activities. Recommended for those students who wish to combine language learning with a study of the culture in a real life situation at a steady pace. Our students range from 17 to 70 and come from all over the world, from a variety of backgrounds. Our Spanish language school offers a wide range of Spanish courses all year round to cater for all needs with particular emphasis on communication. In addition to intensive Spanish language courses, La Janda can also offer flamenco courses and tailor made lessons in this beautiful town next to the coast in the province of Cadiz surrounded by natural parks and beautiful, unspoilt beaches.
