O Grove
Galicia, often referred to as the "Green North", is situated in the north-western corner of the Iberian peninsula, where fjord-like estuaries, rolling forest-covered hills and isolated beaches protected by ancient Celtic strongholds form the main features of the landscape.

It is a region still steeped in rural tradition: - A land of superstitions, ghostly processions and magic rituals and on a more practical level it is of course also an area justly famous for its fish and seafood, for its local wines, for its spectacular coastline and for its generous and friendly inhabitants.
O Grove is a typical Galician fishing port situated on the North coast of a pretty little peninsula joined to the mainland by a narrow strip of beach and sand dunes.

Overlooking the "Ría de Arousa"; O Grove is a paradise for those who love the sea and the delicacies it provides.
Eating out is no problem here. There is a baffling variety of seafood and other local dishes offered in a range of establishments catering for all tastes and pockets. And afterwards, if you feel like it, bars, cafes and discos ensure a lively night life which can often continue until dawn... The town has 15,000 inhabitants and the tourists who visit the area during the summer are mainly from Spain. Even at the height of the season it is easy to find a quiet spot on one of the area's many beautiful little sheltered beaches, and if you prefer a more lively atmosphere, the famous 3 km long Lanzada beach is perfect for everything from volleyball to wind surfing.
If you want to explore, it is possible to hire bicycles by the day or by the week, and further afield, day trips by car or bus to the delightful city of Santiago, to the Portuguese Peneda National Park, to the unspoilt island paradises of Ons and Cies (by boat) or to the famous "Costa de la Muerte" are perfectly feasible.
