Denia

Denia is a enchanting and friendly town situated on the Mediterranean coast between the cities of Alicante and Valencia. Among the many benefits of this area we would like to highlight the 322 sunny days a year and an average temperature of 18º C or 65º F. The town has a resident population of approximately 33,000 inhabitants. Although during the summer months many more people, of all nationalities, come to enjoy this sunny area.

Denia has 20 kilometres of coast. To the north, fine sandy beaches; to the south rocky, precipitous beaches, such as Las Rotas Beach, which has a great many small coves and areas of great beauty. Every year these beaches are awarded the European Union blue flag, which is only given to clean and well equipped beaches.

Denia has been and is a port. When walking you can see the very old district and by the port you can find the fish market. It is being a fishing port that has clearly influenced the delicious dishes of the area and from where the gastronomy has evolved.
